Residential Application of PVT Module: Polish Customer Pairing with a Water Tank

At the end of April, a Polish customer inquired about PVT module from us. His requirement was clear: he had a 1000L pressure water tank at home, and he wanted to purchase six PVT modules, to be installed in two rows, to be used in conjunction with the water tank. It can cool itself, extend the service life, and also provide domestic hot water needs. The inverter he already had, so only the quotation for six PVT modules was needed.

After confirming his requirements, we immediately provided him with a quotation and also sent him the installation video. The customer was very pleased and immediately confirmed the order with us. This batch of goods was dispatched in mid-May.

Why Choose PVT Module: One Panel Does Two Things

PVT module is photovoltaic and thermal energy on the same panel: the front side generates electricity, and the back side uses heat exchange pipes to carry away the residual heat on the panel to heat water.

For his scenario, the logic was straightforward. The house needs hot water, and the area that can be paved with panels is limited. One PVT module can generate both electricity and heat simultaneously, which is more space-efficient than "photovoltaic panels plus independent collectors" and also saves one set of brackets and pipes.

After receiving the goods, he checked each PVT module and everything was normal. Because we had already sent him the installation video and the number of PVT modules was relatively small, the customer decided to install them himself.

After completing the water pipeline installation and conducting the first water test, there was a slight leakage at the connection points. He initially thought it was not tightened enough, so he applied more force and re-tightened it, but it still leaked. We reviewed the installation video with him step-by-step. After examining photos the customer sent, the technical engineer then specifically shot an installation video of the connection point: the locking clamp should be locked from both the upper and lower directions with two wrenches, and the interface should be sealed with sealant.

Here, we also need to remind everyone: there are requirements for the locking angle and sealing in water pipeline connections. The installation process must be done properly to avoid leakage. The customer reprocessed the connection points according to these two points, and the leakage problem was resolved.

At the end of July, we asked the customer about the installation progress and usage status.

In August, he informed us that he had installed and started using them. He installed the PVT modules on the roof, with an installation angle of approximately 20 degrees, facing southwest. He believed that the PVT modules would not overheat at this position. Currently, the local weather is hot and sunny (with an average temperature of 30°C), and the water temperature in the PVT modules reached a maximum of 45°C. He was very satisfied with our products and services and looked forward to more cooperation.
